Michael Caine and Charles Bateman have been confirmed as two pro drivers in
the six-strong Motorbase Performance squad for the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

Caine (Newmarket) stays with the team for a third season, while Bateman joins
the Kent-based team after missing much of the 2008 season. They complete
the record six-car team, where they will join pro-am1 racers Ollie Jackson and
Liam Griffin and pro-am2 racers Steve Parish and George Richardson.

Caine, one of the established championship front-runners says that winning the
overall title is his prime target for the season.

Bateman, meanwhile, will be new to Motorbase but has good Carrera Cup experience having finished eighth overall in 2007 and 2008. Last year he sat out most of the season but contested two race weekends and took a fourth overall at Knockhill in August. "We had a good result at Knockhill and I want to build on that," said the Boston-based driver. "I've been training hard over the winter, both mentally and physically and I'm looking forward to working with the Motorbase team. Podiums and race wins are the aim."

Bartrum is keen to see Bateman on the top step of the podium. "We want to get Charles his first Carrera Cup win and we want to do that as soon as possible. I'm very pleased with the team we've put together; it's going to be a great season."
